The family of Zainab Sheriff has moved to strongly dispel reports circulating on social media claiming that she has died in prison, confirming instead that she is alive but reportedly in a critical health condition.

However, the family has now sought to set the record straight following a recent visit to Zainab. Speaking after seeing her, her aunt reportedly dismissed the death claims as completely false, confirming that Zainab was alive at the time of the visit.

Despite the reassurance that she is alive, the family expressed serious concern over her condition, describing her health as very critical. The development has renewed attention on her wellbeing and raised calls for greater concern over her medical condition while in custody.
